Workshop Info

Learn hemmed cuffs, Latvian braid, and stranded color knitting as you knit a toddler size mitten in the colors of your choice. Topics include tangle-free color knitting (using one or both hands), chart reading, thumbs, top shaping, finishing and blocking. You will leave with the adult mitten pattern of your choice.

SKILL LEVEL:  Intermediate

PREREQUISITES:  Student should be comfortable with using double-pointed needles (suitable for magic loop as well) and reading a chart.

A material fee of $15 to be paid to the instructor via Venmo or cash.

Material fee includes:  students will receive a kit for the mitten containing Rauma Strikkegarn, folder, handouts and patterns for sample and adult mittens.

Student should bring:  Set of 5 US double-point needles size 3 (3.25mm) or 4 (3.5mm), locking pin marker, tapestry needle and scissors. Yarn will be provided.

 Students may also want to bring a battery operated task light, if needed.
