Workshop Info

NOTE:  Wendy's workshops are very popular.  Students may register for just one of her workshop dates.

This workshop is held in a heated tent and your hands may be in and out of water throughout the workshop.

Learn to weave a useful rectangular Garden Harvest basket from rattan/reed and a hickory handle. Starting with a pre-made hickory handle students will learn to set up a base, shape their basket and weave the sides around a "D" shaped handle. Rim fitting, scarfing and lashing will finish the basket. Participants will have a choice of dyed accent weavers to personalize their basket.

Basket dimensions approximately:10"wide x21"long x 6"high (without handle).

SKILL LEVEL:  Absolute Beginner

A material fee of $55 to be paid to the instructor via cash or check at the beginning of the workshop.

Material fee includes:  all materials necessary to complete the basket, including use of the tools needed and a written pattern by the instructor

Student should bring:  Nothing
