Ever woven in your ends only to have them work their way out when you wash or block your item? Don't let your tail weaves come undone! We'll cover tail weaves in several different stitch patterns, go over some best practices and tips and tricks to getting your tail weaves to stay put!

SKILL LEVEL:  Beginner with some experience

PREREQUISITES:  Basic knitting skills, ribbing, seed stitch

HOMEWORK:  Using worsted-weight yarn (smooth, solid, light-colored yarn for ease of seeing our stitches) and appropriate size needles, cast on 18 sts.

Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 1.5". Then work 1" in St st (knit RS rows and purl WS rows), ending with a WS row.
Next Row (RS): Knit 9 sts with your original color, then cut yarn leaving a tail and join a contrasting color (leaving a tail) and knit 9 sts.
Work 3 more rows in St st with your contrasting color, ending with a WS row. Cut yarn. leaving a tail. Rejoin original color (leaving a tail) and work 1" in St st.
Then work 1.5" in garter (knit every row.)
Then work 1.5" in Seed st (RS: *K1, p1; rep from * to end. WS: *P1, k1; rep from * to end.)
BO all sts. Leave all tails unwoven!

•Tapestry needle, scissors.
