This workshop is held in a heated tent.
Combing is the ultimate fiber prep! Learning to use wool combs may seem intimidating, but with practice and a patient instructor, is rather easy to learn. The class will start off with a fleece talk, discussing selection, skirting and washing and then move on to combing different fibers, learning to comb with efficiency and control. You will also learn methods for taking the fiber left on the combs (the shorter bits, usually considered waste) and processing it into even more spinnable fiber, so you get the most out of a fleece.
This workshop will give you an understanding of the combing process and the confidence to transform your own fleece into luxurious hand-combed top!
