Cat lovers unite! Calliope the cat is a great addition to your cat clutter! Let’s knit Calliope the Cat together and have fun learning new techniques. During this class, we will learn basic toy making techniques including knitting in the round with double pointed needles. Also, we will be learning basic embroidery techniques and finishing. The body is seamless while the legs, belly and tail are sewn on. He sits at 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. Meow!

SKILL LEVEL:  Advanced Beginner

PREREQUISITES:  Knit with double pointed needles, knit stitch, increase and decrease stitches

There is a $6 material fee paid directly to the instructor via cash or Venmo.

Material fee includes:

Small amount of pink and black yarn

Student should bring:  

• 3 oz. Worsted Weight yarn – Main color (MC)
• 3 oz. Worsted Weight yarn – Contrast color (CC)
• 1 oz. Worsted Weight yarn - White yarn
• Size 4 double point needles or size to obtain gauge

Students may also want to bring a battery operated task light, if needed.
