This workshop is held in a heated tent.  Your hands may be in and out of water throughout the workshop.

For many years now, I have wanted to offer my students an opportunity to take a deep dive into a world of complex dyeing. Natural dyers often fall into the trap of thinking a source of color is only available to them in a single dye pot. This workshop will open your eyes to the fact that not only can we over dye to create color using botanical sources, but we can perform two color and three mixes in the same dye pot and dyers may also use techniques resulting in light, medium and dark values in the same dye pot.

SKILL LEVEL:  Intermediate

PREREQUISITES:  This is an intermediate level class, and some prior dye experience will be an asset (whether chemical or natural sources).

A material fee of $40 to be paid to the instructor via cash or Venmo.

Material fee includes:  all dyes and equipment needed for dyeing and handouts.

Student should bring:  An apron (or wear clothes you do not mind getting dye on).  Masks and gloves will be provided, but bring your own, if you'd prefer.

 NOTE:  THERE ARE NO ATMs OPEN ON THURSDAY/FRIDAY.
