Shetland is the 2025 Festival contests breed of the year ! Shetland's natural colors lend themselves perfectly for needle felting art, with lots of opportunity for blending and layering. This handsome ram's magnificent horn adds great power to this portrait. Worked on a deep green wool background, the piece can be finished by stretching around a 10" x 10" artist's canvas (included in the materials).
This 4 hour workshop is for intermediate needle felters, participants really must have experience making some 2-D felted art or you will be in the weeds. If you have a favorite handle/holder for a single needle, bring it along to aide your comfort.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
PREREQUISITES: None, aside from being an intermediate felter.
