Jeff Traver

Jeff Traver is from Salt Point, New York. He has been working with Angora goats for almost 30
years and has raised his own Hampshire and Merino Sheep for more than 40 years. In the past
he has judged at the local and state level in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and
Maryland. He has exhibited his sheep across the country, winning National Champion Ram
along the way. Traver was the historian for The American Delaine Merino Sheep Association. In
addition to raising animals he has produced yarn and wool products.

He works as a professional shearer and has traveled throughout New York and New England.
