Sue Charbonneau has been exploring the world of rug hooking for about 30 years. She has taken lessons from Vivily Powers, Jeanne Benjamin, Donna Swanson, Maggie Maclea, Jule Marie Smith and Elizabeth Black. Their help has been invaluable to her.
Sue says "In the beginning years, when I was a fine cut rug hooker, my passion was to make oriental style rugs. Once I was exposed to wide cut hooking, I fell in love with the personality, the touches of whimsy, the use of unusual color combinations, and the vast opportunities for expression this style of hooking provided. Now portraits, landscapes, geometrics, and old fashion florals appear on my frame. The sky, and it does not have to be blue, really is the limit."
