Once you have mastered beginning spinning, and maybe before you buy a wheel, you might want to try different types of fiber. (detailed description)   In Spinning Different Fiber Samples, you will try Shetland, Corriedale, Merino, Lincoln Longwool, Teeswater, Jacob, Llama, Alpaca, Suri and Huycaya, Cotton, Silk, (brick, top, hankie) Bamboo, Angora Rabbit, and others that Julie adds to your take home shoe box to start you on your ‘study’ of fibers. Spinning of the fold, forward and backward drafting, supported long draw and unsupported long draw  will be demonstrated for students to try with different types of fiber.

Double Treadle Lendrum Wheels will be used in class. Julie will supply all fiber and wheels.

Prerequisite: knowledge of how to spin.
