By using one dark and one light colored yarn and a simple combination of knit and purl stitches, you can create optical illusions that 1960s op artists would envy. The term “shadow knitting” was coined by Danish author Vivian Hoxbro, who has popularized the technique, but the method has roots in Japan. In this class you’ll learn how to read shadow knitting charts and get started on this Op Art scarf.Experience level: Advanced beginner.
