Welcome to the 2011 Fleece Show and Sale. A very special THANK YOU to our 2010 exhibitors for a very successful show. Your cooperation and positive response to the changes was greatly appreciated.
The entry procedure for 2011 remains the same as last year EXCEPT for MINOR changes to the Alpaca card. Please review the following information. We are looking forward to another successful show and sale and to seeing all of you again this year.
All entries will be done online. Payment for entries may be made by either check or credit card via PayPal. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account to use this service.
Entries must be received by OCTOBER 11, 2011. Entries will be $3.00 per fleece. No late entries will be allowed. Sheep fleece entries are limited to 10 per producer. Sales tax will be collected. There will be a 5% sales commission on all sales.
Fleeces will be accepted ONLY ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2011 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be NO REFUNDS for fleeces not accepted due to late arrival ! Judging will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. If you choose, you may stay to observe the judging. All fleeces will be judged or graded and will receive a blue or red ranking. There will be ribbons awarded for Best of Class in all categories and Best Colored and Best White in wool and mohair fleeces. Judges comments will accompany each.
Tthe Wool, Mohair and Alpaca fleece sales are combined. The sale will be held in Building B on the festival grounds and can be reached by using the Mulberry Street entrance. Please refer to the festival map of the grounds for directions. You will be able to drive in and unload your fleeces at the door.
THE SALE WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 am ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15,2011 to allow people to purchase their fleeces early and avoid waiting in long lines.
Fleeces entered for sale must be from this years clip, well skirted and arrive in clear plastic bags. Fleeces are not to be tied. Fleeces heavily contaminated with vegetable matter or other debris will not be eligible for inclusion in the sale. Our goal is to provide the consumer with beautiful, healthy, clean fiber. The committee will screen all fleeces upon entry. Decision of the show managers is final.

While every attempt will be made to provide for the security of fleeces entered in the sale, the Festival will not be held liable for items lost or stolen while on display.
The sale will close on Sunday , October 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm. Unsold fleeces must be picked up no later than 4:00 pm or will become property of DCSWGA.
