Welcome to the 2013 Fleece Show and Sale. A very special THANK YOU to our 2012 exhibitors for a very successful show. Your cooperation and positive response to the changes was greatly appreciated.

We are pleased to announce that we will host the National Fleece Show and Sale of the American Gotland Sheep Society.

We are looking forward to another successful show and sale and to seeing all of you again this year.

All entries will be done online. If you need to make a change to your entry, you will have to DELETE the entry and create a new one with the new, corrected details.

DEADLINE to Enter fleeces online: OCTOBER 14, 2013

Entry Fee: $3.00 per fleece.

Entries allowed online only. No late entries will be allowed.

Sheep fleece entries are limited to 10 per producer. Sales tax will be collected.

There will be a 5% sales commission on all sales.

Pre-Entered fleeces will be received for display ONLY ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2013 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Fleeces entered for sale must be from this years clip, well skirted and arrive in CLEAR plastic bags. Fleeces are not to be tied. Fleeces heavily contaminated with vegetable matter or other debris will not be eligible for inclusion in the sale. Our goal is to provide the consumer with beautiful, healthy, clean fiber. The committee will screen all fleeces upon entry. Decision of the show managers is final.

All fleeces will receive a unique bar code sticker upon entry. This will enable the checkout process as well as inventory to be more efficient.

ONE 3x5 card should be securely STAPLED to the bag with the following information for judging:

PLEASE WRITE THE UNIQUE FLEECE ID NUMBER FOR EACH ENTRY FROM THE ON LINE REGISTRATION IN UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER THE 3X5 INDEX CARD.

DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME or FARM NAME on the Index Card. PLEASE place a business card or contact information thta you would like the buyer to have INSIDE THE FLEECE BAG.

Payment for entries may be made by either check or credit card online using PayPal, a secure online payment company that does not allow others access to your payment information. It is not necessary to have a PayPal "account" to use this service with your personal bank checks or credit cards.

The Wool, Mohair and Alpaca fleece sales are combined. The sale will be held in Building B on the festival grounds and can be reached by using the Mulberry Street entrance. Please refer to the festival map of the grounds for directions. You will be able to drive in and unload your fleeces at the door on Friday. There will be NO REFUNDS for fleeces that are not accepted due to late arrival!


If you choose, you may stay to observe the judging. All fleeces will be judged or graded and will receive a blue or red ranking. There will be ribbons awarded for Best of Class in all categories and Best Colored and Best White in wool and mohair fleeces. Judges comments will accompany each.


SALE BEGINS 9am, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2013 to allow people to purchase their fleeces early and avoid waiting in long lines.


While every attempt will be made to provide for the security of fleeces entered in the sale, the Festival will not be held liable for items lost or stolen while on display.


SALE ENDS 3pm - Sunday, October 20, 2013.


Unsold fleeces must be picked up no later than 4pm or will become property of DCSWGA.
