Each team will consist of to speak to the public about their team history, what the teams are doing and answer questions. |

Each team will supply all its own equipment. (i.e. spinning wheel, pre-warped loom, shuttles, bobbin winder, hand cards or flickers) |

No drum carders, pickers or electric equipment. |
| 5. |
Warp yarn and spinning fiber must be 100% wool.Handspun weft will not exceed 3 times diameter of warp. |

*Teams competing for the additional $100. featured breed premium, must provide written proof from featured breed owner, to include, date, breeder address and phone, and total weight purchased. Fleece from current year. |

Pre-warp loom (may be handspun, or commercial; dyed or natural) at no fewer than eight ends per inch. |

Each item will start with raw fiber which may be washed, it must be in obvious lock formation. |

and be set up by 9:30am. Nothing can be added once the contest begins. Only team members will be permitted in the work area. Team members may not leave the work area during competition unless given permission by the judge. |

The competition will begin at 10am and ends at 1pm. Any shawl not completed by 1pm will not be eligible for ribbons or prize money. |

The completed shawl must be a minimum of 18" wide and 72" long, excluding optional fringe. (Points will be deducted for being shorter.) |

13. Decision of judge/judges is final.
Special Prizes:
Eastern Cashmere Association: $25.00 for best handmade article of 100% American Cashmere yarn, handspun or commercial. (Verification of 100% American Cashmere must be submitted.)
Elmendorph Handspinners Guild: $25.00 for Best skein spun by a new spinner (spinning for less than one year)
Elmendorph Handspinners Guild: $25.00 for Best of Show Skein

All entries must be the work of the exhibitor and completed in the past year. |

A maximum of 3 entries per class/division may be entered per exhibitor. |

Mail in entries must be postmarked by , and must include a return address label and postage (unless you will be picking up your items at the festival). We are not responsible for items lost in the mail. |

All entries will be displayed uncovered but supervised during festival hours. Every effort will be made to display and care for entered pieces but the festival assumes no responsibility for loss or damage. Items must be picked up The Festival is not responsible for unclaimed items left after 5pm; they will become property of DCSWG. |

A minimum of 2 oz. and/or 40 yards (unless otherwise stated); neatly wound with a circumference of 1 1/2 to 2 yards; tied in at least 4 places with matching yarn; and washed to set the twist. (See Rules above)
