Class Size - 12 Students
Learn to weave a rectangular handsome and practical basket made of rattan for carrying everything from knitting, spinning and felting projects. Students will learn the filled basket base, plaiting, rimming, scarfing and lashing. The basket is finished with braided leather side handles. This basket is suitable for all weaving skills.

Weave a utilitarian round basket perfect for roving or balls of yarn. Students will learn to weave a double round base with a continuous weave using rattan. Rimming, scarfing and lashing will also be taught. This beautiful basket is finished with sturdy oak side handles. This basket is suitable for all weaving skills.

Biography:
Wendy G. Jensen is an award winning professional basketmaker living in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. She teaches workshops at many museums, craft schools and conventions, as well as her own studio in Great Barrington. Her work is also seen at several juried craft show and gallery exhibits around the US. Her work was most recently published in "500 Baskets" by Lark Books.
