This is a BEGINNING WHEEL SPINNING class.
Please make sure you register for the correct date and time of the class. There are 4 (FOUR) different classes.

For all those who've always wanted to learn to use a spinning wheel, here's your chance. Come join Julie and enjoy hands on instruction from an experienced spinner and teacher.
Students will become acquainted with parts of a  spinning wheel, drafting, spinning fiber onto two different spools, plying the two spools and measuring it onto a niddy noddy. Students will take home their finished skein of yarn.

Materials list: Julie will supply all needed supplies, wool fiber and use of wheels will be furnished.

Biography of Julie Wilson 
Julie Wilson and her family own a farm in Fines Creek, North Carolina, and raise Shetland sheep, Alpacas, Angora Goats, Llamas, Angora Rabbits, and Highland Cattle.  Julie has been spinning since 1990, and has taught Special Education for 29  years and 3 months.  She is estatic about retiring in June of 2010! Julie has been the beginning spinning teacher at SAFF from its beginnings. Satisfaction guaranteed by Julie.
